genuine y pipes are like three grand. I installed a magnaflow complete y pipe. they cost about $1000 but I got mine for $650 with tax for cost from my mechanic (we worked out a deal for some other parts I had). It's a little louder now but all my codes and exhaust issues went away immediately upon install. took about 3 hours to swap out taking my time.

I sold both of mine for 1250 total. they get recycled for the metals inside, so clogged, rattling, whatever doesn't matter. they get crushed and the metal extracted and separated. I sold mine to Marty Powell who used to run a rover part-out business a few years back. he paid up front and sent a shipping label. OP, find a recycler who will take them from individuals before cutting your old ones out.
