Default Driver side window problems

Hi There,
I've been having issues with my driver side window really since I've had my vehicle. Initially I had a garage look at it and tell me the motor was bad. So it was replaced. Almost a year later, I had the same issue. So I took it back to the garage and had them look at it again. Bad motor ( Luck would have it I made their 1 year warranty by only a few days). After JUST over another year, the window decides to stop working again. Screw it, I don't need the window and the large bill that comes with essentially the 1 year rental.
Fast forward till now, I can't pass inspection without my window going down!

So I just replaced the motor myself which did not fix the issue. I do hear a clicking sound when I hit the button coming from under the dash.

I need some advice on what to look at... (and after it's working and I pass inspection, why this keeps happening)

Thanks

can you hear motor moving? if so, could be regulator. though that is usually a jerky partially operation.

is there a way i can switch the buttons that work the passenger window for the time being?

thanks

iirc, just a pop and swap. pull that panel, unplug them and swap

figured it was a long shot. No change on that end. Is there some sort of controller under the dash that may be malfunctioning? I hear a clicking noise coming from what looks like an enclosed controller of some sort.

thanks

I just figured out the issue. The connection is not a tight fit. I only initially tested it after putting the unit back together. So when wiggling the connection while operating the window, it was working.
Looking at the new motor plug, it seems like the +/- aren't as long as they are in the bad motor. I think I'm going to cut off the plugs and wire the old one up to the new motor...

Now begs the question as to why I keep going through motors on the driver seat window. This is the 3rd motor put in since I've owned it (4 years).

good deal
maybe too many drive thrus....
or maybe you were shorting the motors and burning them up (your wires too short, motor is not secure....just guesses)
