Driver Side Window Won't go Up...
Hello guys, I have a '99 Disco II, the driver window don't go up, it just goes up like 1/4" then stops. When I press the switch to go down it just makes lots of noise, evethough just have to go down a 1/4", seems like the window doesn't know where it is at.
Any hint will be appreciated,
Thanks in advance...and keep it up with this great site.

Your window regulator is shot, try, using your hands, to raise the window and leave it up till you are ready to replace it. Are you all mechanical, if so you can buy a good guaranteed used regulator for around $65 from, http://www.roverlandparts.com/index....S&Category=411
Hey Mike, thanks for replying. What do you mean by "Are you all mechanical?..." I did take a part the cover and I can see the half moon toothed mechanism. As I said, it does makes a "tak, tak, tak, tak, tak..." noise when I pressed the switch to go down, then I press the switch to go up and it just go a up a bit, then stops. Is it the regulator all mechanical? or is it there an electric component that just gave up?
I did check the link that you sent me and they just have the rear regulators for the Disco II series.
Thanks again...

Mike, you said use your hands to raise it up...how do you do that?
I try that already and couldn't raise it up...do I need to turn it on by pressing the switch? or do I need to take the whole mechanism off?
Thanks again...any hint will help..
