driver window not working
2002 D2, 120,000 k's.
Driver window doesn't open.
Cannot hear motor when I press the button but I hear a clicking sound from ecu. behind glove box.
all other windows work. Checked wires in centre console and checked the fuses under the steering wheel they are not blown. Thanks in advance.
Any suggestions.

It's possible that the window regulator is worn to the point that it has the motor in a bind and the window won't come down. Hopefully the motor isn't cooked. If it's the regulator they are mounted in the bottom of the door behind the frame work and a real pain to replace. You may find your self with a new four letter word vocabulary befor you are finished replacing it. Good luck. D*

Thanks, I just bought the truck. Previous owner said it use to work. The truck hasn't been driven in over a year. There was an issue with a broken driver door lock pin that has had the handle out and the door panel off. I haven't climbed back in there yet but I'm guessing something may have been frigged with during the door handle operation. I'll update when I fix the door handle.

It's probably the white plastic rollers in the regulator. They get partially broken off, which jams the mechanism and prevents it from running. I'd do the following:
1) Check the fuse just to be sure it's not blown, though if it's making noise it's almost certainly fine
2) Remove the door card. This can be done with a screwdriver, although you ideally would use plastic trim tools. Buy a few door-card anchors from AB or elsewhere, because a few will probably break off when you remove the card.
3) Peel back the plastic affixed to the door with gooey black stuff and you'll be able to access the regulator assembly. There are a few guides online for replacing regulators, and I'd recommend looking for them.
4) Look at the regulator and motor when you hit the button and see if it's trying to move. Look around for the white plastic rollers, which could be missing or stuck.
5) Remove the regulator and motor. If you suspect the motor, remove it from the regulator, plug it in and see if it runs when you hit the switch.
I'd put money on it being the regulator, though. It's a relatively cheap part.
