Default Drivers Side Draft

Does anyone else experience a draft inside the vehicle while driving? On my D2 its right about head/neck height and quite frustrating. On some of the colder mornings I've had to wrap a scarf around me or assume a center driving position.

It's not the windows and I have no water leaks. It feels like its something around the A or B pillar higher up.

This may seem like a simple question, but I painted my headliner last year and had to remove trim and pillars to get to it. It's very possible I missed something on re-install.

Check to see if the vertical guides (that the door glass ride inside, while moving up and down) has dropped down. When the felt guides slid down, this creates an opening between the glass and track/channel.

Last time I saw in here someone missing the rectangular plastic part below in the picture 1. Otherwise the rubber door seals are gapping. Add a foam seal round. Image 2

Ironically I've experienced a similar thing in the D2, I reckon it's often when just starting and the blower pushes warm are around and the cold air drops down at the front as it entrains by the warm air into the cabin. It only happens until the heater warms up but you'll still notice that there is plenty of cold air around the drivers door area.

Plastic moisture barrier may be missing.

I have the same issue with my DII. It started this year after I had the headliner reupholstered. I'm hazarding a guess it's the seal on my back passenger window as it sounds a bit windy back there and the draft wafts up into the driver's seat and wraps its way around my head and neck. I've poked around a bit but haven't pinpointed the culprit yet. Coincidental that it started when the headliner was removed and recovered? Probably not.

Sometimes, the door frame bolt on the front of the door will get loose. This allows the frame to wobble at speed and let in air. Sounds bizarre but it's happened to me on both of the D2s I've owned. So I would just go and check it, it's a torx T40 I think.
