The discovery I just bought has a few problems, one of them is that all of the windows work except for the LH front. I called rovers north and they said it's most likely the regulator. But before I go and spend 100+ dollars on one, I wanted to see if it was a common problem or if it could just be the switch. Also, the rear windshield wiper doesn't, does anyone happen to know what this could be? I love this thing already and I would even more if I could fix the little annoyances that came with it...

 

Take the switch apart and clean it. If your fuses are good, this is the next most likely problem.

Again, if fuses are good, the rear wiper is controlled by the MFU (multi function unit) on the back of the fuse box. Follow this thread to diagnose it. It should rule out the switch at least. Then you can pop the spare off and check the arm....

Are you mechanical enough to test and or replace window parts, if not find a good shop that works on Rovers and let then fix it.

 

Ah I see, I figured you were referring to the rear wiper, sorry. Yes I have worked on quite a few vehicles, I just need to find a manual on this one and dive in.
