Default DTC100810 Center cap compatibility issue?

I purchased 5, 16 inch Terrafirma steel wheels, 23 steel lug nuts and 4 genuine center caps for said wheels and they do NOT FIT. The part number for the caps: DTC100810. I've seen pictures of them mounted onto these steep wheels but for some reason they dont fit with mine. Are there different sized center caps? Or do I need bigger lug nuts?

the overhang on the spare is huge. that's going to increase the bending moment significantly (i.e. massive increase in stress on the mounting bolts).

get rid of the relocator. go back to just the original mount but flip it upside down. drill two new holes for the mounting studs and rotate the rear wiper on its spline so that it doesn't hit the edge of the mount.

I bought them from lucky 8. They were black so I had them zinc coated and powder coated white. I found out later that Rimmer Bros has white steel wheels available in the UK.

I'm still trying to figure out what's up with the center caps. Seeing how the bolt pattern is the same and these caps are compatible with Disco 2, why then do the caps not snap in place over the lugs? The caps are too big.

Looks like that cap might fit stock lug nuts, try that.

Called lucky 8 and they informed me of 2 different types of steel lug nuts. The ones I ordered are not compatible with the LR center caps. So I ordered 23 of the lugs that will allow me to fit on the center caps.

I also asked them about the steel wheel on the spare tire mounting bracket and they assured me that the tire relocator they sell is more than capable to holding up the weight of my wheel/tire combo.

the relocator may be more than capable of handling the momentum forces of a large, heavy mass moving up and down as you travel. it looks pretty solid. but you've extended the centre of gravity of the tyre further out from the weakest point of the whole system, which is the sheet metal of the door. i'm sure others know more about this than i do but it's not something that i would trust.
