Default easy steering wheel fix!

So My steering wheel looked like crap, and getting a new one was pretty expensive and a pain to change,. so I ordered a product called "wheel skins". it was around 60 bucks 70 maybe and it is nice. my car smells like I walked into a Wilsons leathers store. They did send the wrong size first. But I measured it and they sent a new one out right away and told me to keep both, so now I have an extra. or at least I will once the new one gets here. They sent me a a 16" and I measured 15 5/8. Believe it or not over the whole circumference 3/8 makes a big difference in how tight it stretches.. anyway just wanted to post some pics[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Might need to give this a try depending on how your smaller one ends up looking. Thanks for sharing this.

I don't want to sound like an info-mercial, but you can order any two colors, and they have a lot. also you can get no perforation, all perforation, or top and bottom perforation or side perforation. any combo you want

You need gas.

Once you get the finished product, you're going to really like it. Wheel skins makes a really good product.

Your first priority should be keeping your Disco in tip top health, letting the gas tank get to empty like that can screw up lots of **** and can trigger check engine codes. Best to always keep at least a quarter tank of gas in the truck, dont let it get low like that if you want to prolong the life of your disco. Thats not just a Land Rover thing either, same rule applies to most all motor vehicles these days. Its just not healthy.

My wheel could use some help. I'm interested to see the smaller wrap. Post pics of the new skin installed. How bad was the install, the lacing of new skin?

Question/side note. their website states 16 4 1/8" for the dimension. You say its 15 5/8"? Which size do recommend we order?

As far as size I'll post an update when they send the new one. .the 16 that the sent was just barely too big. You normally have to stretch it on a little.. install was easy it takes about an hour and a half of you take your time and do it right. .

I like the cover, looks good. i bet it'll look great when its stretched with new size

i'd have to have an IV connection to a fuel tanker, to accomplish that one.
