Hi, I had the light go out on the driver temp control on the Air Temp Control Unit (ECU). All other bulbs that backlit the control were working, except that one. I pulled the whole unit to access the instruments bulbs, (pulled the radio to access the clips that hold the unit in place) and when I put the unit back in, no light worked. The unit worked fine, but even after checking all the connections multiple times, still nothing.

Anyone know of a trick on the lights? A bit frustrating...

(and yes, I did look through the forum with nothing fitting this description)

Also, for those of you looking to remove the radio head unit, I took a hacksaw blade and cut it lengthwise with some tin snips (amazingly easy, I might add). Basically, I took the width of the blade down by half and cut it back 3 or 4 inches... Makes a great tool for the removal of the radio. (pict attached)


And, importantly, you don't have to listen to the jackasses as the stereo stores tell you that it's a specialized $60 part because it's a land rover... yeah, it's a half of a broken hacksaw blade...

 

nothing? anyone had issue with this in the past?
