Default ECU plastic around pins removal ?

Does anyone know how to remove the black plastic around the ECU pins. Two mechanics have said I have know ground coming from ECU to bank 2 senor 1 02 sensor and I think the problem (repair) might be under the black cover on the ECU. here is a picture of a ECU and the black cover around the pins I would like to remove.

that's not a cover, it's the connector. There is a metal shield behind it that covers where the pins solder to the circuit board. You can get corrosion there.

Thanks for the pictures. I have it opened up like in your picture. but the black plastic is in the way of seeing if there is a problem under it. I have already re soldered some of the solder points on the other side of the ECU black plastic. around pin 10 and pin 10 but still have code p0154 no ground coming from ECU. so I'm think the problem might be under the black cover. Can it be removed somehow? If someone has a diagram of the ECU that would be great so I can see where the 02 sensor ground is going through the ECU and trace it to look for the problem. The ecu is for a 2000 disco with a 4.0 engine if anyone has a diagram of the ECU please let me know.

It's not a cover, is the connector. It's not coming off, if you look at that second photo where I pulled back the metal shield, you'll see all of the pins going from the board to the connector. Do you really want to try and get all of those pins back into that plastic?

The pinout for the 134 pins is 7 pages long in the service manual:

download the file with the "large file" warning here.

Then when you get into the D2 workshop manual, it's on page 18-2-8

No way!!!! but I thought I would ask if there was some kind of trick to it before having to send the ECU of for repair just for a 02 sensor ground fault.

Problem fixed!!!! Thanks for the pictures and giving me the page in the manual that the ECU was on jafir. I used a volt meter to find a solder point where pin 10 was going on the ECU. It was only going to one solder point unlike the other 02 sensor ground pins on the ECU that went to several solder points. so I found the closest point on the ECU to the connection pins where the other three working... 02 sensor grounds where going all to the same place, again using a volt meter to track each 02 sensor ground. I realized all the 02 sensor ground pins on the ecu where going to a row of solder points right next to all the pins coming into the ECU. So pin 10 (02 sensor ground- bank 2 sensor 1) was only getting continuity at one solder point. I soldered a copper jumper wire from pin 10's only working solder to a solder point near the ECU's pin connectors where all the other 02 sensor ground pins where getting continuity. Placed the ECU back in my Disco ran OBD-2 and for the first time bank 2 sensor 1 was working. No more check engine light and no more fault codes. What amazes me is that no one including two different mechanic, one that suppose to be a electrical specialist that tried re-soldering a few of the solder point's couldn't figure this out our didn't want to deal with figuring out the problem with the ECU and just wanted to install another ECU.
