Default ECU question

I've been getting some misfire codes and will be correcting the problem in the next few days but my '03 Disco doesn't seem to be running as poorly as it was when the problem first started about a week aago.

Is it possible that he computer recognized a problem and tries to mitigate or work around the problem?

What were the exact codes, what is the mileage on your truck and what octane gas do you burn?

Those are all misfire codes except for , P0441 Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow
It would be a little early for plugs and wires usually, but you have all the symptons.
Shout if you get a chance and we can talk.
