Default Electric Fan Noise

I just bought a 2002 Discovery 2 and sometimes it sounds like an electric fan is coming on, but the sounds seems to be like it's coming from the top/rear of the engine? Anyone else ever experience this?

Are you talking about the heater blower fan?

The SAI sounds like a vacuum cleaner as I gather. It should only run at startup though to heat the engine up faster.

But what sounds like a vacuum cleaner to you may sound like a electric motor to someone else.
