My research tells me it will be a less efficient cooling system. I don't think I will toy with that.......I like air conditioning too much

Hi
I've installed LS electric fan with modified shroud with Volvo 2 speed relay and via coolant hose below tstat temp sensor for the past 5 months. Works pretty well for me. Better fuel economy for sure. Will post pic over the weekend.

I've been on business trip, in Atlanta. the fan set up was here when I got home. I will mess with it this weekend and give a "whats up" with it.

so this is the skinny on the out of box set up
hardware looks great. fans are pressed and the shroud is well built. smoothed edges and all. I received 2 temp senders (1 fin stabber and an alternative direct tap) I am not using either, but the threaded sender is a smaller than normal size. I had plenty of length on my wires, both to and from the supplied relay. I did not receive a controller (could have misread the description, I will check on that tomorrow) didn't need that either. from the time I opened the box till the time I had it all hooked up was about 20 minutes. pull tabs for the mounting and some cute little crimped fasteners atop the radiator, made that a 5 minute set up. 10 for me....I couldn't find my fan wrench. coverage of the fan leaves 1.25" of bottom radiator uncovered. I tested both fans and all is good. wiring was simple, I had to reference the instructions to determine that there is a wire for the fan clutch. (again, didn't use that) if I am building head pressure, I will hook it up, but I am looking for simplicity in an already rat nested electrically dominant set up. I plan to real world test tomorrow, it will be in the 60s here (I think......texas, so it may have changed to - 10 by now) but all in all the product looks solid. I will give it a go, over the next few, and report back.

Looks good, but could I borrow a hose clamp it looks like you have a few spares in there.

Interesting. Keep us updated with the operation ( temps, fuel, etc). Want to see the numbers before pulling the trigger on this one. Subscribed.
