Default Electrical Issue or Glitch?

My wife was driving our 2000 Disco a couple days ago and the ac, radio, and power windows all stopped working. The engine still ran fine and she made it home. When I got home about an hour later, I went out and it started right up and everything worked great. I figured the alternator maybe going bad, so I checked it with my multimeter. At idle it was putting out 14.0. Any ideas of whats going on?
Thank,s Jason

Check fuse link 8 in underhood compartment to be sure it is not loose or cracked. Check other wires that appear in the underhood fuse box on the top side (to be sure they are tight, and any ground wires are tight). A number of things go thru fuse link 8, so a cracked one or loose one would do strange things. But our trucks are negative ground, so half of the circuit path is the actual metal of the truck. So a loose ground wire can impact many things, then bump back together and everything is fine just as you pull up to the dealership.

I have the same problem. The climate controls, windows including sunroof and windshield wipers have no power. Start the truck later and all is well the problem is gone. This has happened 2 times this week. Please let me know what you found.

ZG - Why did you post this Lucas price of darkness thing? I asked a serious question.

It's the nature of Rover electronics. All sorts of gremlins.

This is classic Rover stuff, sure there's probably an actual reason, but this has been happening for decades with no great answers.
