Default Electrical Issues (starting and blower motor), IDM Replacement?

3 weeks ago my Disco II with 150K miles wouldn't start. I tried it a few times and eventually got it to go. When turning the key it would simply make a ticking sound. It happened once the following week, and after repeated attempts to start the vehicle, it worked. I didn't do anything special to get it to start other than trying a bunch of time.

Yesterday, my Disco II stopped blowing air. Hot or Cold - no air.

Today, my Disco wouldn't start again. I tried repeatedly and it finally fired up. The blower still did not work. Both the 'M' and 'S' light flashed the whole way home and I did the 8 miles in limp mode. I am figuring the 'M' and 'S' light is the result of draining the battery down from trying to start the car about 20 times.

Does anyone think that the starting issue and the blower issue are related? I was thinking maybe this is the IDM module and I should replace the passenger compartment fuse panel. Its an expensive part so wanted to get the thoughts from the experts on the forum.

I appreciate your help!
Thanks
Matt

So either my question makes no sense or I have stumped the forum. I am thinking it's my question.

In anyone's expert opinion is there reason to think my failed blower moter and intermittent starting issue are related? Does it make sense to throw a new passenger fuse panel in to see if it fixes my problem?

Thanks
Matt
