Luckyayb,
I only run 91, previous owner said the same thing. When I'm not giving it gas it just dies. Almost instantly. It tries to idle but just fails which made me think that there was something stuck in the IACV hose but there was nothing. I'm not too sure what spark plugs are in there but i can pull them and check if need be. I checked out the throttle body and it is squeaky clean. I will pull the hoses and check the IACV when i pull the plugs this weekend. I was reading the RAVE pretty thoroughly and it seems that the fuel injectors have the most similar symptoms so I'm leaning towards replacing them all. Another problem i found is that the breather hose just popped out of the plenum. No idea what could have caused this. it's a brass piece so its definitely been replaced before. i cant even get the thing back in there.
well when you take the idle air control valve off, look in and see how dirty it is. That could be an issue. A lot of fords were notorious for the iacv. Check the plugs and get back. The downfall to the +4 plugs is the gaps aren't adjustable and they are foul up pretty quick with these engine.....in my experience.

Did you ever look for vacuum leaks? Have you plugged in a reader to verify any codes, both pending or confirmed are present?

how do I check for leaks? I did get the actual codes though.
P1884
P0300
P0303
P0305
P0307
the p03 are the misfire codes. The 1884 is a CAN Message. But they aren't telling me why just that's is a misfire in those cylinders

ok. IACV didn't look dirty at all. The plugs looked fairly new. I can send a photo if that's help. They are champion RC11

you say the intake hose was undone to the intake plenum? Take a picture of that as a picture of the passenger side of the intake manifold where the two hoses go into it towards the top

ive tried to post a few pictures but they always say that it's waiting on a moderator to post it. Got an email? In the message here it won't let me just put a picture I'd have to link it from somewhere

cool. Sent two photos your way. I'm starting to believe I need to either clean or replace the fuel injectors. Possibly the pump. But that still is a mystery as to how that hose popped out.

With the misfires all on odd-numbered cylinders I suspect the upstream O2 sensor on that side.

Happened to me and a new O2 sensor solved the problem. I had P0302, P0306 and P0308. Like in your truck all one side.

The only thing that affects only one bank is the O2. I had no typical O2 sensor codes. Installed a new O2 and all was good. If you want to test the theory try swapping the O2s side to side and see if the misfires move to the even-numbered bank. Good luck.
