I just want to know what's the best antifreeze my mom should use for her discovery series 2 she 's been using prestone but are there any like recommeded anifreeze for land rovers. Also my mom's discovery temp gauge goes up and down and there is a coolant smell coming from the truck but we had a new thermosat put with new hoses and stuff what could this be is it something with the water pump or something wrong with the coolant system

Prestone is fine, and it is compatible with LR's. The coolant smell could be the notorious "leaking throttle body heater plate" problem (or whatever that actual part is called). Mine was pissing a few days ago. I just by-passed it with a 3/8" copper tube bent into a U.

Besides people that live in antarctica, who wants heated low density air sucked in anyway?
