Default Engine Noise - Advise Needed!

As my wife was backing out of our driveway this morning, I noticed a "CLACK" "CLACK" "CLACK"...noise coming from underneath the engine’s left side (driver’s side). The noise is louder when the truck is stationary, but the intensity or number of "clacks" heard increases (not necessarily the noise level) as the truck begins to move.

Any ideas as to what can be causing this issue? Will it be an expensive fix?

2004 Discovery HSE, 85,000 miles.

Thank you in advance for any help regarding this post.

You are going to need to get a lot more specific as to if it is internal, external, exhaust or what. Spend some time under the hood and track down the location. In the mean time, if it is internal engine noise, STOP driving it today.

Could be anything from an exhaust leak to something in the engine. If you are not mechanical, run it by a mechanic for an inspection. Anything clacking is a bad thing.
