Default Engine oil cooler?

So, 03 Disco2. Looks like there's an oil cooler, but it's not connected. Should I connect? or should I just remove?

Left nipple... just sitting there.

Right nipple...

That was weird typing that!

The tranny cooler sits near the bottom of the radiator while the oil cooler is higher and above it. Weird that they just by passed it. They do serve a purpose.

Oil coolers are only fitted to vehicles up to VIN 756821. What's yours? That looks like just the ATF cooler... super strange that it's disconnected. You have an auto trans, right?

ATF Cooler has a temp sensor on the Passenger Side.

I’d get that tranny cooler hooked up if you cans find good hoses. I wanted to add an oil cooler above mine, but could not find hoses.

03's have tranny colors, not all have a temp sensors on them. As mentioned, get that thing connected!

Okay... so let’s pretend there’s another “cooler” right below that one. That would make this one the engine oil cooler, correct? If that’s the case... remove it or connect it? I’m just asking, because there’s another one below that one.
