2003 Disco. Is disconnecting the battery for a long while (say 1 hour) equivalent to erasing fault codes command on the scanner ? (except for SLABS) Or the erasing instruction at the code reader does something additional ?

 

There are a number of codes that need to be cleared with a scanner.

 

Yes disconnect pos battery terminal and touch to ground.
