Default Erratic Cruise Control 04 D2

My D2 has 66k on it and I don't use the cruise control very often. When I do, it seems to be constantly throttling up and down, even on a level roads. I have checked the vaccuum lines and they seem to be ok. Anyone have any thoguhts on what causes this and a fix?

There was a TSB about this, I think it required the cruise computer to be replaced. But I thought it was on the 03's.

When I engage the cruse control on my 03 it cycles through a series of minor, diminishing fluctuations for the first 15 seconds or so. It's so light that my passengers rarely notice it. After that it operates smooth as would be expected.

One of my pilot buddies and I were on a road trip together and I asked him about this. He said some cruse controls do an interrogation at start-up to acquire acceleration & deceleration data for the current vehicle weight. His Infinity goes through the the same thing at start-up.

My '03 does this, passengers don't notice, but I do. If you find an relatively cheap fix, I'd be interested in it too.

No it does not. It will go for quite a while, and I get to the point where I do not notice, this is not a major issue, just a bit of a PITA.
