Got the pics fixed. When it first happened i locked my cdl and had no movement under acceleration.

Right now my disco is put back together somewhat, its stuck in limp mode and i have a code pointing at the xyz switch ( i used the one that came from the donor tranny). i got it home with just the rear drive shaft installed and the cdl locked. only the cat part of the exhaust is installed so it sounds like like a boat.

I didn't want to rack up to much lift time at the hobby shop so that's why i drove it home which is only 3 mins away.

That broken front axle shaft is why you had no drive in any gear.

In one of the first few posts, the OP stated that he had no movement even with the CDL engaged. With the CDL engaged, wouldn't he have had mobility?

Edit: ...unless the CDL wasn't actually engaged... Moving the lever to the left doesn't mean the CDL is instantly engaged. The gearing in the transfer case has to mesh up, and sometimes that may take a few feet of driving.

The cdl isn't the problem because im using the same one on the doner tranny and was able to get my disco home with only one drive shaft installed and the cdl locked. Plus i have the dash light hooked up to let me know wwhen its locked or not.

Are either of the driveshafts moving when in gear? Are you sure you're in low/high not nuetral? Are you sure the CDL is locked?

T case front housing has been swapped from a d1 for over 2 years now so my 03 has a locking cdl. When it happened i locked the t case to try to get some movement but nothing. The same t case is installed on the doner tranny and i only have the rear drive shaft installed. I lock the t case so that im able to drive it on only on drive shaft.

Can you have someone put it in gear and look at the driveshafts?

I did just that and none of the shafts moved, even gave it a little gas. The rover would actually move when pushed while the gear box was in park, only then would the shafts move.
