Default Exhaust manifold gaskets

Ok, well I'm preparing to remove my entire exhaust system to make some necessary repairs due to several holes in the pipe where someone did some bad welding. (the flange and pipe are separating)

From experience I'm going to buy all new gaskets and just break out the existing bolts and install through bolts because I already know half are going to break when I try to remove them.

Anyhow, for the exhaust manifold, on Atlantic British's site, there are two types. The gasket that is for 2 pipes that is connected via a little strip of metal that doesn't function as a gasket and the one's that are separate gaskets. The separate ones are cheaper and I wanted to know if there was reason behind this madness.

This is the single one - Gasket - Exhaust Manifold - Single Cylinder - 4 Per Side (Part # ERC3606) - Land Rover gaskets and seals from Atlantic British

this is the double one - Land Rover Exhaust Manifold Gasket (Same Fit As Genuine Part # ERR6733)
