Exhaust Pipe diameter

I am looking at buying an aftermarket muffler and I don't have a way to measure the input and output pipe size. Does anyone know what it is? I am looking at Flowmaster 40 or 44 series so any feed back is appreciated

Is it true I have to divide my measurement to get the exact measurement of the pipe I googled it and it said to divide by 3.14.
