Default Expansion Tank

I believe I found my leak. For the last month it has been running great, so I knew I was due.

The other day got hot, not pegged buy moved above the halfway mark. Was low on coolant, filled it up and drove home. Strangely when I got home the fluid level was the same as I left it.

I replace the cap as it was easy to do and not done any time recently.
I replaced the hose clamps on the hose to the throttle body with real hose clamps, as it was we around there.
I notice it appears the nipple is cracked. Does anyone have any advice for a temporary fix, until I can get a new tank?

Thanks

I should expand, I had a nipple on a p38 radiator that was cracked, mixed the 2 part Jb weld and patched it. That was 10 k miles ago.

If you're talking about the nipple on the bottom of the coolant reservoir that has the throttle body heater line attached to it here's my solution. I'm convinced this repair would have worked indefinitely but I ordered a new tank off eBay.

I'm having the same issue now. My "temporary" fix finally gave out after a couple of years. Bad thing is, I never got a replacement reservoir becuase the fix was working so good. Now, I need a new tank.

Is there anything wrong with the parts I'm seeing on Ebay? Or, are they all just plastic reservoirs. I may be thinking too hard about it... but, just want to make sure. I need to buy one tonight.
