How much can I expect to pay for the parts? Head gaskets, intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets etc with both heads getting a resurface?
I dont know man, I would rather do head gaskets on a Rover than a timing belt on a front wheel drive car. lol
If you do it all yourself...$500.
www.atlanticbritish.com for all of your parts.

Doing head gaskets on a LR is a weekend job if you are good at turning wrench and have all the proper tools.
A week if you are a novice.

Right on, good to know... Thanks again for the link etc. and helpful insight I'll plan on setting around $500 aside as well as a weekend to get this thing done. I did a head gasket job on my ol' 5.0l Mustang in a about 2 days so I think I can get it done on this thing just as fast. I'll probably just watch how things progress, check the fluids regularly and do the job when necessary. Thanks again for your guys' help!

One last thing though, is it worth pulling the motor to do this, considering the ride height of the vehicle? It looks like the extra effort might be worth the hassle or it may not???

Just remove the hood, thats all you need to do for extra room.
Pulling the engine will be WAY more trouble that its worth.
If you already had it out then yes, do it while on the stand.
