Default Factory fan cfm?

Does anyone know what cfm the factory viscous fans are rated at? I'm going with an electric fan and want to be sure I'm moving more air

Dude, That's the exact same fan Im going to use. Except I'm going to trim the shroud and mount the fan in the factory rover shroud.

I was looking for a single fan that was big enough to fit in the factory opening but couldn't find an aftermarket unit in 20" diameter. one night I was at my buddies house and noticed the radiator and fan off his mustang sitting on the shelf and thought the fan looked huge. Got out a tape and sure enough it's a perfect fit.

My second option was a ford windstar fan, which was a dual fan and kept my 351 Windsor very cool in my lightning.

This Mustang fan is exactly the same fan as the coveted Taurus fan, just with a slightly different shroud. I've been using it for some time and it does the job beautifully, even pulling 7k lbs on 85 degree days.

I'd love to see how you end up mounting it. I can tell you the bottom of this shroud sits nicely in the tabs on the radiator for the factory shroud. Honestly, it would probably be easier for you to just make up a better mount for the top of the Ford shroud. I just quickly used those sh*tty electric fan zips through the radiator, but eventually I'm going to fab up an actual bracket. Kinda bottom of the list right now with the failed inspection sticker and all, though.

I'm definitely not dickin around with this cooling system. This is the first vehicle I've owned that I've felt the need to monitor the engine temp at all times.

So this setup will be legit. If all goes according to plan, it's going to sit very flush with the factory shroud and not have any gap between the fan and shroud. And it will be on a dual temp sensor, mounted in the intake.

Yea, I'm the same way with my Rover. I put in an electric temp gauge that I ALWAYS keep an eye on. =
