The brights send the signal to the OEM relay under the hood which is probably toast.

Check out my build that’s in my sig — wired up my front light using OEM switch. It’s a few pages from the very end. Gotta make sure you are using a CC switch as all others won’t work.

I have that diagram as well but ended up just using a multi meter to figure out everything Its fairly easy to wire something up in these trucks.
