This gives me something else to do proactively - remove and inspect the fan for cracks. They fly apart rarely it seems, but when they do it's not pretty.

I have 130k on my '04, and been thinking about the electric fan conversion. Also, not sure my condenser fan is working. I was looking in the rave for the wiring diagram and see that it only goes thru '03. Anyone know where to get the wiring diag for '04? Assuming it is different...

Thoughts on the elec conversion?

Turn on your AC and peek thru the grill. You can also hear it. If it's out check your fuse. If fuse is ok try turning it by hand to see if it is locked up.

the 1999-02 fan design with the ring and slanted blades, is the fan that blows up-if I had that on my Rover I would replace it right away with any of the suitable substitutes known on here...Certain BMWs and Toyota Tacomas are also known for fans blowing up The '03-04 "Borg Warner" fans are a good design and not suspect.

The 03-04 fan blade design might be okay, but it being a one piece unit = poor design. Slap on the 6201-112 fan blade & a Hayden 2991 and you’ll be good to go.
