Fan clutch
I do not know if the Chevy fan clutch will fit the DII or not, I know it will screw onto the water pump but I do not know about the space/size of it on the DII.
It fits perfect on the DI.

I'm curious now that mine might be working ok...
After 45 mins on the highway...then idling in the driveway, the fan is spinning fast. I was unable to successfully slow it down by putting an empty paper towel tube there...
So I guess the clutch is snug!?

That's not a good or safe test, "Stubby". At same point, switch your truck off. Spin fan by hand. If it spins more than 1 revolution, fan clutch is weak or empty of fluid.
A Hayden 2991 fan clutch is listed as compatible with 02 - 95 Discovery trucks. So the Chevy version should work (same bolt pattern and 6 inch size). Don't be a dunce like me and ask for the WITH AC version, it is seven inch size, and does not fit well.
You can measure across your existing fan mounting area and see exactly how wide it is, and measure clutch before purchase. The fan has a recessed area that surrounds the clutch on the D2.
