Default Fan removal

Can someone tell me if the fan clutch is reverse threaded on the water pump?

The fan threads off in the opposite direction of the fans direction.

I am assuming you mean the viscous fan and if so the answer is yes it has a right hand thread. Undo clockwise tighten anti clockwise - they don't need to be t tight though or they can be a pig dog to get undone again.

Left hand thread. Undo clock and tighten counter

Might want to get a clutch tool that goes over 2 bolts on the pulley.

Thanks guys! I rented the tool from Advance but could not get it to break loose. I was able to work around it to get my heads off.
