Mike, is the throttle body the butterly valve just inside the plenumwhen you take off the boot? Or do I need to do something different (tear more stuff apart) to get to the throttle body? Cleaning the butterfly valve isstep 3of the three step cleaning... It was black as the ace of spades as were the walls of the intake manifold. I doubt in 105k+ miles that it had ever been cleaned... You can now eat off of it... The kit and the "IV" is $47 out the door. I'd highly recommend this procedure for high mileage Discos...
