Faultmate MSV-2 Key Fob Programming
Does anyone know the key fob programming procedure for the old Black Box Solutions Faultmate MSV-2? I have the barcodes and key fob chip code, but simply entering the bar code in to the BCU settings fob code box and hitting "write codes" does not seem to activate the fob. Seeing as it is now a "legacy" product, I'm not able to find anything about it on their website or license holder support area. Has anyone done this successfully?

Yup, should be as simple as inputting the Barcode from the fob and then writing it to the BCU
Make sure that your receiver works - and that the fob you are using isnt a knockoff, I've tried a few from e-Bay that wouldn't program and were putting out the wrong frequency - they were the cheaper ones on ebay.

Thanks Logan, back story is a mechanic screwed up my BCU trying to reprogram for keys. I had a fob that was working, and one from another D2. When I got the truck back, no fobs would work and it wouldn't start unless I unlocked the door with the key, and then I had to start it within 30 seconds. I got the MSV-2 and was able to change the setting back to get rid of the time out problem, but have been unsuccessful trying to get the fob(s) to work again. BBS was helpful in converting the 4 digit code to bar code, they came up with
*G3AAB913AAB90FF4* and *FFFFFFFFC5546E*
I entered the longer one in to the FOB 1 BAR CODE box and hit "write settings". It automatically changes the second and second to last character to a question mark. When I hit the fob button, the fob light blinks but has no effect on the locks. When you have done it, did you just enter the longer code as I did and it was ready to roll?
Also, do you have any idea what the "Fob 1 rolling code position" is for and if it needs to be messed with? By "reciever" check, is that in the vehicle or in the fob?
Thanks and good to see someone has an idea how to use this thing!
