Default fender flares

Need a little advice. I have a 2003 Disco HSE. The fender flares are scratched and faded.
So, I ordered new ones from Atlantic Britsh. They should arrive in a couple of days.
Anyway, my question is: how do I replace them. Meaning do the stick on? are they bolted on?

I think they have double sided tape. Might have some screws not sure. Mine faded out too. The dealer refinished them under warranty instead of replacing them. A little light sanding and a sprayjob and they look great.

Use a heat gun/hair drier to remove your old ones, use a very strong cleaner to clean the paint surface before installing the new ones, and start from day one and keep some sort of a treatment on the new ones so they don't fade as fast.

Mike, what do you recommend to treat these so they stay protected?

Similiar situation while living in Florida these past four years. The sun bleaches the black wheel arches out leaving a white like look. I tried Mother's Back to Black and every other product. The dealership said it would happen all over again if they were replaced. They recommended having them painted at a body shop.

From what I understand it's hard to remove them. I decided to sand and repaint. I used Rustoleum Plastic textured paint for plastic bought at Home Depot. It has the same texture as stock and makes them look brand new. How long will it last is a good question. So far it's been about four months and they look good. Even if it happens again I'll repeat the process. I just cannot see spending big bucks at a body shop or even buying/replacing them with new ones.

If your new arches fade- I'd consider this route. Good luck and keep them protected as long as they are in the sun- use protectant. I don't really use any protectant now that the arches are painted. Water/soap and back to new for now.

Good luck-

Ditto to the above message. Those flares will fade again, they're expensive and hellish to take off and put back on. Buy yourself the $30 in supplies, tape up and cover your truck good and just sand and paint them. Looks good and you'll save yourself $300 and hours of grief.
