Default A few questions

I have been looking at a 1998 discovery with about 150k miles was wondering if there was anything i should look out for? Im aware that parts can get up there i have an older bmw they cant be that far off for them. Plus i work for bmw store and we own a rover store also so parts will be at cost. Also any issues with pulling a trailer ? Would be either a 6x14 or at the biggest 7x21 with a couple atvs on it. Any problems that are normal ? Thanks in advance for your help. I know that i was kinda all over the place with the questions but that is the 3 biggest on my mind right now. seems to be a really nice truck and i belive would surve my purpose very well .

Default RE: A few questions

There are common trouble spots, yes. Spend some time browsing the last few weeks worth of topics. This question is asked frequently enough that lots of good info has been posted recently. Front driveshafts, warning lights (search on "three amigos"), head gaskets probably top the list.

The Discovery is a good trailer puller. Just stay within the trailer and tongue weight limits in the manual and you'll be fine.

The three most common problems with the D1 are...
Check engine light- bad spark. Need new plugs and wires
Cruise control not working- vacum leak on a cruise control vacum line
ABS light on- bad ABS wheel sensor

You'll want to leave the quads on the trailer and take the truck on the trails. There is nothing like hitting the trails in the climate controlled comfort of your leather seats.
