Yeah, but you could find sales sometimes. Good lighting is worth the money though! I live and drive in a dark area... hit many deer over the years. All my other recent rides have had HID lights... so wanted to upgrade to at least match the vision of those!

Do you have a service engine light on and that's the reason for having your codes read? I will tell from experience that our MAF's don't take to cleaning well. Can't hurt to try but be ready to replace with a Bosch MAF. Cleaned mine and was okay for a few days and then just died. And that was allowing it to dry out after cleaning over night.

I had the service engine light come on a couple of days ago, that's what encouraged me to get the codes read. I will take your advice and go ahead and replace the MAF. What part number is the MAF? I figure the culprit is the last time I got my oil changed they broke the clamp on the air filter box.

MAF Part Number. Also look real good at your intake system and ensure it is sealed. Like the Filter cover and the location where your MAF fit's in the tube to the intake. There is an o ring on the maf that's important. Those little clamps really break easy. One reason I do my own, plus I see and can smell my fluids for burnt signs and inspect the magnetic plugs.

Thanks! Woof that's pricey, but to be expected. Is there an alternate place I could buy it from? I did a quick search and found some a bit cheaper but also a bit shady *example http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...d=370485550111
I do not want to skimp on parts but I have read on here that Atlantic British can be a bit pricey at times.

Stick with the Bosch MAF, cheaper alternatives have been known to crap out early.

I planned on keeping with the Bosch. I was just checking to see if there was a better price on it anywhere before I just went out and ordered it.

So far I need these plug wires http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/9206MAG.cfm

and these plugs? http://www.roverparts.com/Parts/NLP100320.cfm

For this Forum, the recommendations for wires are anything 8MM (Kinsborne, Magnecor, etc..), plugs are your preference, some people like the Bosch plat +4's, some like the Iridium, some like the stock Champion copper plugs.

x2 on Kingsborne 8mm wires www.kingsborne.com, or you can pay double for the others. I use plain old Champion $2 plugs.

For your MAF call Will Tillery (sp?) aka www.roverguy.com. That's where I got mine. He's a pleasure to deal with, and he always has parts in stock at better prices. You will never go wrong with him. And...he knows to give you a Bosch MAF, not some aftermarket crap that will fail in 2 weeks.

edit: Looks like Will has changed the name of site to www.rovaguy.com. Not to worry though - if you type ROVERGUY or click the link above it will redirect to new address.
