RE: Fill up drama
Most likely a clogged vent tube then. There is a check valve in the carbon canisiter that can get clogged, but that will set off a code.
New we are assuming that this has happened to you more than once.
There is a gas station in my neighbothood that I cannot use with my Rover because it keeps shutting off the pump just like you mentioned.
Only that one gas station though, dont know why.

RE: Fill up drama
I have tried to fill it up aboutsix times in the past 3 months (its not my daily driver) and I tried at four diffrent gas stations to make sure that the pressure was notset to high at the pump. It did take a larger quanity of fuel at one station because the nozzle was a little longer and I twisted it to the side.

RE: Fill up drama
There is a trickle valve in located in these filler necks. It will not set a code when it fails. The only fix I know about is to replace the filler neck-have done oneat the shop and did not see the car back for that issue. Lots of gas stations do have pump nozzles that fail and will cause this issue with any car. Do try switching pumps/stations to see if it alleviates the problem.
