OK, I have been having problems with not getting any replies from the forum.
I had noticed that somebody else was having the same problem, well I figured it out, all the replies were going into my spam folder.
So if anybody else is having this problem check your spam filter and change the setting, I turned mine off.

 

Spike555, this is jairocol that person who have the battery/alternator issue.
I tried the connections based on your Pics and I still have the issue.
I took few Pics to the alternator belt and I need to sendit to you to check if this is ok or it is the problem .
But I am having problems trying to download the Pics. (problems problems problems).

 

jairocol-read the second page of "disco 1 overheating", I wrote to panos and told him how to do it, so rather that type it out again...call me lazy, or call me late for church...
If your belt is routed wrong it wont turn the alt fast enough, or it might be turning it the wrong way.

Your belt routing is wrong. It goes over the alt, down under the water pump, back over the power steering pump, under the crank pully, over the belt tensioner, over the A/C and then back over thr alt.

 

I am willing to bet that the belt is slipping on the alt and therefore it isint charging.
