Default Finally got my....

I finally got my passenger wheel bearing replaced! Drives so much smoother now. It was so bad thatit was impacted in and took em 2.5 hours. For anyone in San Diego I would recommend premier rover. You can check em out at premierrover.com New customers get a free oil change with ANY maintainence. They charged me $116 and gave me an oil change, passenger wheel bearings, labor, greased all u-joints, scanned the OBD II computer, greased my shifter linkage, and a few other small things. I am very pleased with their service!

Only thing they told me was to replace bothmy front driveshaft u joints since they were loose and broken looking. They told me $150 for that which seems very fair. They get 2 thumbs up!

Have them do the other side too. You should always have things like wheel bearings, brakes, tires, shocks, springs etc. replaced at the same time on the same axle.
The other side will be cheaper because it isint bad yet and will take them less time.
But it will go bad soon, after all it has the same amount of miles as the other.
Glad to hear that you are pleased with the service that you got.

Is it hard to remove the front drive shaft?

That depends on how seized the nuts and bolts are, no it is not hard to remove.
Just make sure that you mark both ends of the driveshaft and the flanges on the front diff and the front of the t-case so that you can put the driveshaft back on the same way, if you re-install it 180* from the way you took it off it could be out of balance.
