Default It Finally Happened

I just went to a very good tire shop to have the wheels re-spun and rotated. I asked if they had time to my truck and they said that bay was empty they'd do it now, I said cool lets go, he went to his computer and asked what year is your truck, I say 04, he types, then asks what kind is it, I say Land Rover and he asks Who Makes That - Toyota???????

I just smiled and explained it to him - all the while thinking, This is the best place in town to have a spin and rotate done but they don't know damnit about trucks. Good thing I didn't want them to replace the left hand blinker fluid.

Cheers

Robert

Like they say, good help is hard to get, smart/experienced help isn't even out there any more.
Good story.

You can rotate your own tires with a floor jack and two jack stands.

This is the exact reason I want to get a whole bunch of LR t shirts, just so I can wear them every time I have to go to an auto parts store, or pretty much anywhere I know I could get into a conversation about cars.

I don't want to appear stupid (not that it's ever stopped me before), but WTF is "re-spun"?

Re-spun means rebalanced. Tire shop spin the tires to find where they need to put the weights to balance them
