I would say parting it out would be as much or more work than putting in a new engine. I parted out a dirt bike once and it was a giant PIA. Plus I didn't get near the amount I thought I was going to get when I stopped. I actually still have some parts that never sold.....

 

You should definitely scrap the truck, and sell me your headlights. Hows.......$40 sound?
