D2G, do you just carry that for trips or is that in your truck at all times?
LOL I was just thinking the same thing!

In the truck all the time. It just sits in my Tuffy box and side bins. I take public transportation to work and really only drive to my buddies a few times a week, grocery store on the weekends, and down to Hollister to wheel 1x/month. The fluids I only keep in the truck for a long trip, like going out to AZ. for Christmas, and running the Mojave Road on the way home.

Was looking at my rover the other day after this thread popped up and got thinking of where a good place to mount a fire extinguisher would be. I want a place that is accessible even with cargo in the back. I think the best place in my rover is in the cargo area on the gate between the cargo area and back seat. Keeps it up high enough that unless I have stuff stacked to the ceiling it will be accessible over the stuff in the back.

I've also thought about the rear cargo area, either under the alpine windows, or along the trim behind the tail lights.

Im not sure D2G.......... Cooler is farther up my list; its part of my first aid kit. First thing that that goes into D1 is a well stocked first aid kit..

I already had the Guide 1 Adventure Medical Kit. Are you talking an Igloo cooler or something like the Engel? I'd like one of those sometime.

I carry jumper cables, first aid kit and bungie cords.

I dont carry spare parts or fluids...I have faith, and it has gotten me through anything that I have ever incountered, and I have faith that it always will.

Spares, and fluids and such are only half for me. The other half is for a fellow club member that has run into trouble on the trail. My truck might not have issues, but others might.

Thanks for the inputs, Ill pick out the stuff that applies to my needs.
I think the Rave CD has a recommended place where it should be mounted and if I remember it right its at the passenger side under the dash -the plastic wall opposite the fender. Me thinks its for easy access just in case something bursts into flames you can easily reach for it. Putting it at the back will be a bit more challenging to reach for, especially when your trapped inside your vehicle.

While I do not have an extensive list as D2G, I have the essentials. I have also found need for a fire extinguisher, it was not for my truck though. I have used it for small brush fires on the side of the freeway and out on the trail.
