Default Fire Extinguisher and Why you need one.

Sunday I was out in my Disco had new BFG/AT's put on
picked up the new Land Rover Monthlyand as REI
(Recreational Equipment Inc)was just across from where I get LRM I stopped in to check out the sale.

I saw a Audi with its what I though was steam coming from
under the hood then it was the wrong color for steam.

I got my fire extinguisher out of my LR and put out the fire
and saved my REI ,ok maybe not.
I found that there is a lot of plastic on newer Audimotors.

I have carried a fire extinguisher for more than 20 years
and this the 2nd time I have used one, never on on mine.

I have a "Tuff Box" its a steel box thats 31'x48" and 8' tall that I keep all my tools, OBD reader, battery tester and
5lb extinguisher in.

I also have a 2.5lb extinguisher under the driver seat for small stuff, it fits in the little compartmant,

Nice Work. I've always had one in my Jeep, but never had to use it. I see the aftermath of engine fires fairly often and figure at the very least I can put somebody else's fire out. Just sold the Jeep, so Iputit in my Disco this weekend. I put it in back in one of the side storage bins along with my OBD reader. I should throw a small tool set in there too, I've done many fixes in auto part parking lots after something blew or broke.

BTW, what size BFG's. Those will probably be my next set of tires. Do you have any pictures? It's surprising, but I've never seen a Land Rover with BFG/AT's (okay, maybe not surprising around here.)

I had 245/75/16 and used the same tire and size again.
This is a old photo before the snorkel same tires.
The 245/75/16 is 31" tall I wanted a little more width and same height,,I couldnot find itin a size I could use.
