New Brakes and Rotors all round & coolant flush before picking her up. Ultra gauge installed.
She has new head gaskets, new(er) O2 sensors front and new drive shaft (fr)
Issues:
1) Continued waterfall sound... with help of Forum and Randy Williams at Rover Bones in Lancaster..almost all gone: tightened hose clamps and added new screw clamps to replace factory ones. Still a few more to do.
2) Drivers door manual lock did not work. Connecting rod inside was snapped, removed and replaced.
3) Wiper switch did not work (randomly) removed and de-greased to no avail. replaced with a used one from Rover Bones.
4) Rain leaking in... passenger drain tube broken off... working on it today.

Other than than those issues, engine smooth and quiet, no ticking/knocking. Drives great, I love it!

Water fall is either exhaust gas in coolant (hopefully not because of new HGs) or plain old air (it is an art to bleed these). As long as UG says your are keeping a good temperature, then great.

 

The temps are from 195 to 204.
I managed to glue and epoxy the tube back to the tray and caulked the drain pans back into place. Just lowered the headliner down in the front section and held it back with the seat belts; afforded enough access.
I still obviously have an issue with the sunroof not sealing correctly with the rubber seal because if it were the broken drain would not have been a factor. But that is for another day (in Spring).

 

Rare to see a new member get off to such a great start with their Disco! I'm impressed. Youve already tackled some of the more difficult and expensive repairs so aside from afew minor things here and there you should be all set for while! Just keep up with those oil changes. Best of luck to you.

I would try to give another bleed and when do you hear the waterfall sound at every take off or what? How did you perform the bleed so we can see if you goofed somewhere?

 

Embarrassed to say I don't know how to post a pic yet.
I have one looking forward from the doorway which kind of gives the idea.
Since tightening the clamps that can be tightened and adding others the water noise is quite minimal. It has not gotton worse since my last bleed. I have not done it for awhile, I usually lift the expansion tank up and open the bleed screw and take off the cap on the tank. I hear an occasional gurgle, so it needs another go.
