Default Flashing M and S lights.

Hey guys, just this morning I was driving the car and suddenly I can't accelerate very much at all and it just starts accelerating very slowly and then I have these flashing m and s lights and I have no idea what this means. My car also when you go to shift in reverse absolutely slams it into reverse like the car makes a giant bump when you shift into reverse. Is this a transmission problem possibly or something else?

Check the condition of your battery and cable connections. Also, check ground cable at alternator bracket. Poor voltage will cause these issues and your trans is in limp-mode because of it.

What are your battery voltage readings? Check with the key off, the key on, and the engine running.

Do you have a code reader? Your Dll is accelerating slowly, because it's in limp mode and starting out in 3rd gear as a default.

Also, did you have the battery load tested? Usually a poor condition battery or terminals cause this issue. Is the gear indicator symbol in dash cluster (just below odometer) blinkIng?...or indicating wrong shifter position? Might be an issue with your XYZ switch, mounted on trans shift linkage.

I had to rebuild the XYZ switch a few weeks ago to get the M and S lights to clear, and get it out of limp mode.

Well I just had got in the car just now and turned the key once before starting and after setting a moment it went back out of limp mode and fixed itself, what exactly could that mean with it doing that just now?

Should I repeat my request for you to post your actual voltage readings?
