Default flashing odometer

My alternator had a loose connection on the positive side. So I had the "M" and "S" flashing, and so was the odometer.

I fixed the terminal. Warning lights all went away except odometer flashing? can any mechanic reset this, or does it have to be Land Rover?

And if left alone, will it just flash and not hurt anything? It still works ok.

Thanks

The odometer and the body control unit lost their sync, only the dealer or a mechanic with Test Book or T4 can reset it for you.
No it wont hurt anything but you will not beable to sell it that way.

I have the hawkeye and it gives the option to turn off the odometer warning completely, but I don't know if it will actually resync it.

Default flashing odometer BCU

Spike, One more thing, I just remembered. As far as I can tell My 02 Disco doesn't have a BCU, It's an SE model.

There is no reservoir by the power steering fluid for the leveling system. And I don't see anything underneath.

Not sure if this changes anything with the Odometer blinking. Looks like i have to take it to shop anyways for reset.

Thanks Again

BCU is the body control unit. All D2 have them. You're thinking of SLS or ACE, I think.
