Question Which flexible blades fan fits ?

Hi
Those metallic stainless? radiator fans; which model number fits a Disco2 ? And any experiences using it ?
Just preparing my stock fan replacement, eliminating the viscous coupling.
They look like :

there is an adaptor/spacer avalible that threads onto the waterpump hub,and then you bolt standard reverse rotation flex fan of your choice onto the adaptor. Some flex fan designs(including the one pictured)are quite noisy at higher RPM and use a little horsepower at over ~4500 RPM-you will get plenty of airflow at above idle engine speeds though

They use a LOT of horsepower, and fuel mileage. Why are you removing the viscous coupling?

Please do not attach the fan directly to the water pump without using a clutch. If you really want a "severe duty" fan setup, get the Hayden 2991 fan clutch and a fan that will fit. I use a 10 blade spectra CF15001, others have used the 9 blade Dorman 620-112, the stock 99-02 fans, or something similar. Also, flex fans are doodoo. Just don't.

The point of the flex fan is to use less hp and mpg.
The blades "flex" and there is less drag.
They also weigh less and are less rotating mass.
They work well.

Interesting opinions. Thank you.
'Use too much power' ; 'They work well' ; 'Use a clutch' ; 'do not'...
I, old fart, never remember being over 2500 RPM nor above 65MPH. Unsure if that will determine if I should or should not go the flex route. Exploring so far.

so far I have no desire to use a flex fan on my disco, but I have one on one of my Chevys and like the flex fan on that car-better cooling at higher speeds ,especially pulling a long grade.I don't know who made the fan I am using,6 blades,18"dia.,only marking on it :3-82,but it is decently quiet and HP draw not too bad.HP draw will not be significant at RPM less than 4500.Idle airflow probably a little less that the original Rover fan,but airflow at over ~2500 will be much higher if needed for towing or other heavy duty situations.Flex fan could be trouble if deep water hits it and bends blades into something...

Not sure if you have to have MotorTrend on Demand, but they did a fan shoot out on Engine Masters a while back. Has a ton of info. Dyno tests.

Did you ever get an answer about a part number? I want to go to a flex fan, because even though I have all the right "stuff" (Factory grey thermostat, Hayden fan clutch, etc.) the problem is still air flow in stop and go traffic. 42 years ago, when I had my Corvette, I had the same problem: Hi performance 350 in a cooling system designed for a modest 327. A 'Vette buddy finally said, "Get a flex fan." Solved all my problems.

with my ac on and humid 93 degree outside, stop and go traffic, I have normal engine temps with OEM electric and mechanical fans. Is there some other issue with your cooling system?
