^ Can't ever argue with or advise against buying a factory part, except with the DII front prop shaft of course. I'm only sharing my own personal expirience, which was and still is positive. I can't make any promises that someone else will have the same results, but neither could I with a OEM part for that matter. I probably would have bought the Genuine LR part at the time, but I was still in college at the time and broke as a joke. But even now, I'm so pleased with the results of my aftermarket I'm not gonna pull it off to replace it with the OEM.

I'm in college too. I know you got a different brand then I did, once I saw the britpart label on it I should've sent it back, but I didn't so its on me. lol. You just don't know what your buying when it says aftermarket, you could get lucky like you did, but I spent 75$ on a pos.

$75.00???? You might as well have just boutght the Dealer part! Seems like it was around 80 bucks at the time I was in the market for it. Mine was EuroParts branded. My new Throttle Body Heater Plate that I bought off Amazon arrived today and I was emensly happy when I saw the EuroParts sticker on the package. Amazon had not specified the maker of the item online. I guess I can say it's a brand that I trust at this point. I will until they giv me a reason not to. I might have one sitting on my coffee table right now...Time will tell...lol

I used these people http://www.jgs4x4.co.uk/discovery-2-31-c.asp and bought GKN greasable UJ's to rebuild the Cardan and front shaft and also the Rotoflex and rear UJ. I wouldn't expect anyone to buy from the US but the parts are top quality and you aren't entering into the lottery of dubious aftermarket parts. Don't get me wrong, some aftermarket kit is very good, typically Terrafirma, but some is cheap crap and made in the far east as cheap copies. I believe that you need to know exactly what you are buying not just any old replica spurious parts. I was reading an Aussie article where the guy bought cheapo aftermarket engine and gearbox mountings which he said made things vibrate even worse, he ended up buying genuine LR mountings and wasting his money on the first set and then doing the job twice (3.5 hours worth) - no brainer in my book really. Yep, he also stated the LR genuine mountings worked and cured the vibration.

No offence ZGPhoto, I'm sure RN kit is kosher. Many people in the UK seek to save a few %%%% and buy crap on Eblag without finding the provenance of what they are buying, I'm sure it happen's in the US too, problem is there is so much 'fake' kit sold particularly online it's often hard to be sure what is genuine and what is fake. I tend to stick to a few regular suppliers who I can trust which always give good service.
