Joined the Flowkooler fan club myself. Installed their pump today. Already had the inline stat, new radiator, severe duty clutch and dorman fan and previous new water pump, with that my temps were good about 180 to 195.
But they would creep up to 210 ish and higher if i let it at idle during the brutal Las Vegas summers. Tempz would drop if the engine revved.
Hope this helps with the summer idle/slow traffic temps.
We shall see soon enough.
Just Orderd the Flow Kooler pump last night im also in Las Vegas and in the middle of a top-end rebuild so just trying to do all I can to keep the motor happy. wondering if anybody has bought one of the full aluminum radiators off of eBay.
OK, I’ve read through this thread. Cooling on the old Buick engine has been something that has always fascinated me. Should I go this way over an OEM one? I’ve just done a new radiator and 180 soft spring T stat. I’m still determining if I need head gaskets, but assuming I don’t and the water pump is done, is the cool guy upgrade to go with?
So they’re a company that makes a shipping label same day and then doesn’t ship until it’s ready. Mine actually arrives tomorrow but they don’t notify you the day they actually ship it. Good call 🤙🏻
Mine supposedly will be delivered by Wednesday of this week, but it hasn’t left yet.
I ordered mine a week and a half ago and when I inquired they sent a reply with something about just getting tooling and it would ship out but the end of last week. Well, the label was created but nothing yet, so we’ll see…
