To Flush or Not?
looking at that you should be flushing it before your next couple oil changes, but you want to do it gently; you dont want all that coming free and returning to the oil pan.
you want to use something that will desolve that back to oil not just free it up , because then it just going to get sucked into your pickup.
there are all kind of stuff on the market, i use 1-2 oz Kerosene a day before my oil changes.

This was all from the Previous Owner. I have no idea what he was using before, but I recently changed it out with Rotella.
I'll keep researching to find a good flush, unless anyone has a specific recommendation?

Kerosene is great for getting this job done and I've used it for years on many different engines. But if you want a flush in a pretty bottle then you are off to Autozone to waste $. Your call.
Should I run the kerosene while driving for a day or just a few minutes before the oil change?
Sorry for the simple questions, I appreciate everyone's help and input!
Looks like previous owner not only used cheapest oil he could buy also perhaps just topped it of when it was low, cause even with a cheap oil if he had changed it regularly in would not build up that much baked on cake!! It is really bad , if you try any kind of strong flush or solvent there is a big chance that chunk's of that crap will become loose and float around and will clogg a oil passage and could damage your engine at the best case, since its not doing any harm now use a high detergent quality (rotella as you said) diesel oil and change your oil in less than normal intervals and it will clean it up after 3 to 4 changes, it will not loosen any chunks at once will just desolve it gradually and clean up your engine , be patient , it's better than to take a chance on a flush with that much crap build up.
